Hello! I’m Auros Harman, candidate for San Bruno’s District 4. If you're a District 4 voter, I hope to earn your vote. Let's work together to make the City with a Heart a better place to live and work!
We have one of the best locations in the Bay Area, with immediate access to the airport, the 101 and 280 freeways, and multi-modal public transit. You can get almost anywhere in the region, from San Jose up to Oakland or Berkeley, in an hour. We’re also home to one of the most recognizable tech brands in the world.
We could leverage these advantages to build up a thriving downtown, which support improvements to our streets, public safety, and utilities.
My Priorities
Public Safety
Safe neighborhoods start with strong police and fire staffing.
Public safety is priority number one. As your councilmember, this means consistently advocating for well-funded and well- resourced police and fire departments, ensuring San Bruno remains a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.
Economic Accountability
Protect services. Demand transparency. Plan responsibly.
By demanding a transparent, non-nonsense approach to our city’s budget, I will work to solve our city’s budget deficit as quickly as possible while protecting the daily services residents rely on.
Fixing Aging Infrastructure
Address our aging local infrastructure before small problems become big ones.
Aging city infrastructure, roads, and sidewalks, create real hazards to residents. As your Councilmember, I’ll draw upon my experience on the Planning Commission to resolve these problems before they become more expensive and hazardous.
Protecting Our Neighborhoods from Storms, Fire, and Rising Bay Waters
Start preparing today for the predictable dangers of tomorrow.
San Bruno must approach planning thoughtfully and proactively, remaining focused on safeguarding our neighborhoods before disaster strikes. As your Councilmember, I will look to practical, state-of-the-art solutions to improving our stormwater systems, reduce flood and wildfire risk, and protect the green space we all enjoy.
Balanced Growth and Housing
Growth serves the community when new jobs and housing are properly balanced.
I support a balanced approach to growth that creates needed housing, improves our aging infrastructure, and preserves neighborhood character. Growth should strengthen San Bruno, support local families, and reinforce our economy. As your Councilmember, I want to help ensure that future generations can continue to call this city home.
A More Responsive City Hall
City government should serve every citizen.
As your Councilmember, I will look for ways to improve communication, streamline processes, reduce delays, and make city services more responsive. My goal is that City Hall is perceived as a problem solver, not a bottleneck.
If you too want to see our town thrive, I hope you will consider supporting my campaign, and voting for me in November.
